- ➤ Plainfield officers hosted a Shop With a Cop event at Target on Friday, Dec. 19 — sponsored by the Plainfield Junior Women’s Club — that helped local children pick out holiday gifts while nearby Lockport and Bolingbrook held similar events for kids in need. Shaw Local
- ➤ On Dec. 13, 2025, Plainfield Lions Club delivered $61,500 in Jewel gift cards to 192 families as part of its 76th annual Christmas basket program (with help from 59 donors and a $3,075 discount from Jewel-Osco), supporting over 1,000 community members. Shaw Local
REAL ESTATE NEWS
- ➤ Village trustees designated the 1888 Queen Anne house at 23822 W. Lockport St. as Plainfield’s latest landmark, noting the same family has owned it since its construction and the restoration led by Arris Architects (1993 to 1995) returned the home to its original style. Shaw Local
