- ➤ Plainfield trustees approved plans for The Nook, a 288-unit apartment complex on 8.8 acres (west of Wood Farm Road, north of Lockport Street) behind the U.S. Post Office. The project allows variances for higher density and flexible unit sizes to boost affordable housing. Herald-News
- ➤ The Plainfield Village Board approved a permit on Dec. 1 to turn historic Riverfront Manor (24044 W. Main St) into a bed and breakfast for guests linked to Sanctuary Events. The 1841 home, listed on the National Register, will host 10 guests and receive parking upgrades this spring. Herald-News
