- ➤ Plainfield East High School band and choir students left Sunday for Disney World to perform at the Thanksgiving Day Parade at Magic Kingdom and the Candlelight Processional at EPCOT—68 students in all—and will return late Saturday. Herald-News
- ➤ Lawmakers in Illinois face a potential $747.9 million increase in the K-12 education budget if all public funding requests are approved—these include a $68.5 million plan for new literacy programs, additional funds for special education, multilingual education, and early childhood block grants.
