- ➤ Plainfield School District Foundation for Excellence announced the Bonnie McBeth Early Learning Grants, awarding five educators $5,585 from 28 applications to support classroom projects at Bonnie McBeth Learning Center+ the foundation partnered with BMLC Principal Kristin Brower to offer the first Bonnie McBeth School Grant, which will allow eight teachers to attend a professional conference in March and share new knowledge. - ➤ The Three Rivers Association of REALTORS and Gateville Law Firm will host Real Estate Investor Palooza on Oct. 29 at Joliet Junior College (U-Building, 1215 Houbolt Road) from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The free event is designed for property investors, managers and landlords in Will and Grundy counties and will include sessions on wealth-building, property management and eviction processes. 9:00-10:30 a.m. — Community Park At Grande Park — Entry fee required — Participate in the fun-filled 4th Annual Turkey Trot run/walk to kick off the holiday season.
