ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ An overnight collision on I-55 near Romeoville injured one person and killed another when a commercial truck struck a passenger car—police closed the southbound lanes until about 8:15 a.m.—while investigating the crash. Herald-News
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Will County Forest Preserve will launch its 23rd annual Woods Walk Challenge on a Monday in November and run through Sunday, Nov. 30—offering 10 scenic trails ranging from a ½-mile stroll to a 3-mile adventure, with hikers earning a 2025 medallion for completing at least seven trails. Booklets and an interactive map will be available for residents to log their walks until Sunday, Dec. 7. Herald-News
