7 Brew Coffee in Plainfield opened its drive-thru shop at 8 a.m. Monday, Aug.
31, at the southwest corner of Illinois Route 59 and 127th Street after a three-day soft opening. The larger facility — with two lanes for stacking to ease traffic — was approved by the Village Board.
🎓 Education
Joliet Junior College launched its fire academy this fall with a 16-week program that prepares students for Illinois state firefighter certification & applications for spring classes capped at 20 students are open Sept.
1 to 30.
🏛️ Government
The SBA announced low-interest disaster loans for businesses, nonprofits and residents in nine Illinois counties hit by storms on July 27; Loan Outreach Centers in Cook and Will counties opened on Aug.
21, with deadlines Oct. 19 for physical repairs and May 18 for economic claims.
