GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Plainfield will conduct a special census later this month to count its nearly 10% growth since 2020 — the U.S. Census Bureau is hiring over 60 workers with salaries starting at $22.50 per hour to gather updated data for planning and revenue. The census will run online from July 22nd through August 22nd with door-to-door follow-ups to complete the count. Shaw Local
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ The Will County Community Health Center will host a back-to-school health fair on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 1106 Neal Ave in Joliet & will offer scheduled appointments for dental exams, vaccinations, school physicals, and hearing health care through a new partnership with the Americans for Better Hearing Foundation. Appointments for services must be reserved by calling 8157278670. Herald-News
