- ➤ Plainfield community members held a dedication ceremony on Saturday to honor 6-year-old Wadee Alfayoumi, who was fatally stabbed in a hate crime when Joseph Czuba attacked him by stabbing him more than 24 times—prosecutors said Czuba also called his mother a devil Muslim during the attack. - ➤ Local family members and community leaders gathered Saturday at Van Horn Woods East Playground to dedicate a monument honoring 6-year-old Wadee Alfayoumi, who was fatally stabbed on Oct. 14 in a hate crime—officials said the memorial is meant to preserve his memory and call for unity.
