- ➤ Lockport man Dartavius Payton pleaded guilty to second-degree murder for fatally shooting Todd Taylor in Joliet on April 28 (2020) and was sentenced by Will County Judge Vincent Cornelius to an 18-year term with effective release expected after about four years thanks to prior jail credit.
