- ➤ A Joliet man pleaded guilty to hiding a woman's death in Crest Hill and illegally having a weapon, and he must serve at least half his total sentence (which is over six years) after his jail time credits, with parole expected on July 20th. Herald-News

- ➤ Will County's Forest Preserve District has planned Earth Month events for the week of April 21 including a webinar on notorious plants and fungi, a wildflower hike at Hickory Creek Preserve, and an Earth Day cleanup at Hidden Oaks Preserve on April 22. Additional activities—such as birding at Plum Creek Nature Center, a bike ride from Lake Chaminwood Preserve, and a museum tour at Isle a la Cache Museum—are set for April 26. Herald-News
