Dueñez’s funeral to be held Friday morning in Joliet — the route will start at 9 a.m. from the funeral home and guests may attend the service at Word of Life Church in Crest Hill starting at 10 a.m. before the service begins at 11 a.m. Herald-News

- ➤ Around 10 a.m. Wednesday, emergency crews responded to a car partially submerged in about six feet of water near Royal Worlington Drive and Illinois Route 59 in Naperville after an accident forced it off the road — a nearby landscaper jumped into the water and held the non-swimmer driver's head above water until firefighters removed them and provided care.
