- ➤ Will County advisory panel voted 4 to 2 against giving Earthrise Energy’s 6,100-acre solar project a special use permit—approval now rests with the County Board committee on Thursday at the Renaissance Center in downtown Joliet. Supporters and opponents both voiced concerns during recent public hearings. Herald-News
- ➤ Tuesday, Mar. 31, the Will County Board Planning & Zoning Commission reconvened at 5:30 p.m. to review Earthrise Energy's 6,100-acre solar complex for 96 farm properties southeast of Manhattan (Pride of the Prairie) amid mixed local reactions before passing the proposal to the county board.
