  • Plainfield will host a Paddy Day Mile Run and Irish Parade in downtown Plainfield on Sunday. The run starts at 12:25 p.m. and the parade will begin at 1 p.m.—downtown streets will be closed and parking limited until about 3 p.m.—as announced by the Plainfield Police Department.  Herald-News

CULTURE NEWS

  • Ancient Aliens Live will take place at the Rialto Square Theatre on March 27 - the 90-minute event features stars from the hit series who will lead interactive discussions on theories about extraterrestrials and offer VIP meet-and-greet opportunities. Audience members can look forward to a chance to ask questions and engage with the experts during the discussion.  Herald-News

  • Will County forest preserves are preparing for spring as a naturalist will lead a wildflower hike on March 20 at Raccoon Grove — a free event where people learn how the flowers got their names — to welcome the new season. A Zoom webinar on March 20 from noon to 12:45 will teach ways to spot yellow warblers — a free program for local bird watchers — by explaining their soft calls.  Herald-News
