- ➤ Plainfield Fest will take place at Bott Community Park on Renwick Road from July 17-19, moving from its former downtown spots. The all-volunteer event features live music, a carnival, craft and vendor shows, a food court, a petting zoo and a bags tournament, with improved parking for local businesses. Herald-News

- ➤ Will County offers several events this weekend as Drew & Ellie Holcomb perform at Rialto Square Theatre in downtown Joliet on Saturday at 7:30 p.m., a grunge tribute plays at The Forge, and a living history cooking demo runs Sunday at Isle a la Cache Museum in Romeoville. Herald-News

- ➤ The Forest Preserve District of Will County will host Mammal Madness at Four Rivers Environmental Education in Channahon on Saturday, Mar. 7 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., where families can view live animal presentations, join hands-on activities, and explore nature trails. Herald-News
