- ➤ District 202 held a Jan. 10 meeting at Ira Jones Middle School where school leaders updated residents on plans for facility upgrades, enrollment boundary changes, and academic improvements; they invited community input to guide future actions. Herald-News
FINANCE NEWS
- ➤ Illinois American Water filed a request with the Illinois Commerce Commission on Tuesday to raise water and wastewater rates to support $577 million in system improvements such as pipeline replacements and treatment upgrades. If approved, the new rates will take effect in January 2027, increasing monthly bills by about $14. Herald-News
